The gameplay in Yupitergrad makes up for the shortcomings, as the swinging action will keep you hooked. Thanks to a pretty robust main story and the added bonus of Time Attack challenges, it will hook you in for longer than most VR titles. This is a slick title optimized for VR’s unique movement requirements, and it offers lots of fun Spider Man-style content for not many Rubles. Do your duty for the Motherland and check Yupitergrad out.

Yupitergrad for PSVR is another fine get for the platform. The gameplay is a fair challenge, mostly, and there’s lots of fun to be had finding new ways to swing down dangerous corridors of doom. The controls and tracking are remarkably good, too, meaning you won’t feel hindered by the PS Move wands. Playing Yupitergrad will make you feel like Bionic Commando albeit in a humorous cel-shaded puzzle-filled space station adventure.Yupitergrad gameplay video → Gamedust on Yupitergrad: Soviets and Suction Cups More PlayStation VR games Moving Out: Movers in Paradise DLC Review Xbox One ★★★★☆ Last year's Moving Out provided some fun co-op gameplay and now, there's a brand new expansion and I have 2 tickets to paradise. Movers in Paradise is a substantial DLC expansion that offers a lot of extra content.

In a sea of “Spiderman sims,” Yupitergrad is a must-have title for your VR library. Setting itself apart from the rest with an undeniable charm, woefully underutilized graphics, and a great sense of humor, Yupitergrad is definitely my top candidate for 2020’s hidden gem. I’m really hoping I’m the anomaly in the motion sickness department, as the developers stated they worked really hard on innovative countermeasures, but aside from that bump in the road I haven’t had this much fun in a long time.

By the time I was done with Yupitergrad, I may have been a sweaty mess, but I still feel its worth commending for its style and mechanics. Grappling as the main mechanic of movement feels smooth and the corridors and puzzles throughout the game are well-arranged. It’s also well-aided by the game’s jocular Soviet commonwealth humor, encouraging you forward despite the clear and blatant dangers of the well-crafted, cel-shaded environment.

The levels in YupiterGrad don't drag and the challenge gets pretty hard to surmount, but if players stick with it the game is incredibly awarding and satisfying. It's not a short VR experience but a decent length Deiselpunk Sci-fi adventure with a fun cell shaded cosmonaut aesthetic that makes it truly unique. This is a must-buy for PSVR owners!

Yupitergrad serves as a proof of concept that you can have a fast-moving vertical platforming experience in the VR medium. Swinging and propelling your way around a massive space station completely fulfils a power fantasy that many adopters of VR have undoubtedly been seeking.
