If you enjoyed the tourism aspect of the original game then this add-on is a definite must for you. There are boatloads of new add-ons: hotels, edicts, attractions, and even new types of tourists, all of which serve as an integral part in increasing your enjoyment of an already great product. Anyone who has played this game knows that the meat of the game lies in trying to build a thriving and flourish island while trying to maintain the balance between the residents and the tourists. Paradise Island successfully builds upon this element by providing the gamer with a few new weapons in his arsenal.

Tropico has a great Caribbean soundtrack, and the visuals are colorful and for the most part well animated, even if they look a little blocky sometimes too. The interface is quirky, but not impossible to get the hang of and there is a lot of funny stuff in the game, as you blatantly try to milk your people and the tourists for every dollar you can get.
