Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
The year is 2013 and you play as Captain Mitchell, commander of a Ghost Recon team, on a mission in Mexico City where rebels are attempting a coup, putting Mexico and the USA in danger. To deal with the different situations you have to face, taking out AA-guns or defending injured personnel until the rescue team arrives, you do not only have access to top-notch weapons like the different versions of the MR-C, but also to futuristic equipment like a drone that flies over the battlefield to spot enemy units.

Whereas I found GRAW for the X360 to be the best 360 game I've played thus far in the console's lifetime, GRAW for the PC has immediately earned a top spot among my personal pantheon of greatest games. While many lament the death dirge of PC gaming, GRAW is illustrative of what sets PC games apart from console games; it's polished, refined and deftly executed.

As a package, it's an incredibly complete product of flabbergasting quality; more than any other game, GRAW puts the player in the nerve-snapping tension of pauses between engagements. It thrusts you into the terror of modern, quicksilver-fluid combat. Black Hawk Down and GRAW stand together; they both paint a horrific situation so impressively that it can be hard to say if they're "fun" -- but there's no denying their quality. GRAW isn't just for dedicated shooter fans, but it is a PC game with no quicksave or manual save -- checkpoints only.
