CRITIK
Congratulations on your new Little Inferno Entertainment Fireplace! Throw your toys into your fire, and play with them as they burn. Stay warm in there. It's getting cold outside! Burn flaming logs, screaming robots, credit cards, batteries, exploding fish, unstable nuclear devices, and tiny galaxies. An adventure that takes place almost entirely in front of a fireplace - about looking up up up out of the chimney, and the cold world just on the other side of the wall.

While no co-op mode exists as of this writing, the Switch version will be adding one in the next week. Even still, I’ve played through Little Inferno with multiple people as the communal fun of trying to figure out combos still works even when only one controller does anything. I don’t think Little Inferno is for everyone, but it sure as hell is for me.

Its central mechanic is truly empty and truly compulsive, and yet the barest, most devastatingly mindless circuit of its interactions is redeemed by the wonderful art and the sly imagination on display. You'll burn stuff because you have to in order to advance the plot, and because it's the only outlet the designers have given you.
