Clustertruck is exactly what it’s aiming to be. It’s fun, fast, and fluid, letting you lose hours trying and trying to jump just right, to move just fast enough. The custom maps that the community has already made and sent out into the world are sure to provide plenty of replayability, complementing the great levels that come with the game.

If anything, Clustertruck is a simple, novel idea fleshed out and turned into a viable game. At its current price, it’s also worth every penny, and I can see myself using this for study breaks, a filler game for listening to podcasts, and that’s not counting my current strive to get to the top of the leaderboards.

ClusterTruck is a simple game, and it manages to flawlessly pull off almost everything it does. The sporadically iffy controls make the last level is a total pain in the arse bordering on the unfair, but with a one in 90 fail rate it just feels petty to even bring it up. With hectic play, visual flair and an easy to use level editor, I’ve never had this much fun being hit by a truck. A review code was provided by the publisher for the purposes of this review. Platform: PC/Mac/Linux (reviewed), PS4 Developer/Publisher: Landfall Games/TinyBuild Price: £10.99 Release date: September 27, 2016 - Chaotic and exciting - Varied environments and traps - Good level designer - Iffy running controls, predominantly on bends - The final level is nonsense ClusterTruck is a simple game executed almost flawlessly.

Clustertruck proves that first person platforming can be incredibly fun, and that not all games need a complex concept in order to keep players engaged.

I would compare Clustertruck to a good Monty Python sketch: incredibly silly, beautifully charming and wonderfully crafted.

Few games have been as effective as Clustertruck at making me want “just one more try”. It’s bizarre, wacky, skill intensive, tough as hell, and you could end up needing a new controller or two before you’re through.

Cluster Truck had me on the edge of my seat and also completely defeated at times, yet always having a blast in the process. Sounds like a win, win to me. Favorite moment: Having an almost perfect run, jumping off trucks, flying through the eye, and hitting it perfectly. Worst moment: Every time you almost at the end goal and you completely cluster trust yourself and fail.
