Despite looking nice and offering plenty of unlockables, there’s no real reason to visit this entry into the tennis game genre. It’s by no means poorly made, running smoothly all the way through, it just simply lacks any sign of a satisfying game loop.

Even without comparing Super Tennis to the real Super Tennis, the game largely falls flat as a compelling sports title. Once you’ve mastered the gameplay (which you most certainly will after 2 or 3 matches), it becomes incredibly repetitive with little incentive to continue other than to see the cool unlockable costumes. If you’ve recently moved to the Switch from another console and wish to learn the layout of the controller, then this is a great way to do so, but if you’re after an actual tennis game, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

If you want to experience a solid pixel-art tennis game, this isn’t the Super Tennis you should play. You’ll discover everything the game has to offer in an hour, and there’s nothing here to keep you coming back for more.

I was debating whether to give Super Tennis 0 or 1 stars and I decided on the latter because at least it's functional and looks decent.Super Tennis gameplay video → Throw Anything Review PlayStation 4 ★★★☆☆ As a gamer, you know that there are more than a million ways to kill a zombie but have you ever considered simply throwing stuff? Throw Anything is a PlayStation VR game where you use 2 Move controllers to pick up stuff from a room then throw it out a window as zombies climb the side of the building that you're in.
