After playing the game for a while, I need to say that you should avoid playing this one on Nintendo Switch. The way the cars steer feels off, and that will certainly get in the way. Sure, there are more than enough tracks in the game, but when winning a single race requires a lot of work, and getting to play the rest is not something that just happens.

Grand Prix Rock’n Racing is game at war with itself. Its semi-realistic handling belies its arcade presentation, and its AI and physics are constantly battling the player, almost penalising players for upgrading their vehicle as higher speeds result in more unpredictable and inconsistent physics. It’s a real shame as the game really does have potential, with its nice feeling of progression in its upgrade system and a variety of fun and interesting tracks, but its flaws are too many and too great to fully recommend the game to anyone, regardless of whether they enjoy racing games or not, although it is cheap enough for an impulse buy some day, if you’re desperate enough for a new racer. REVIEW CODE: A complimentary Microsoft Xbox One code was provided to Brash Games for this review.

If you're a serious glutton for punishment though, you'll be hard pressed to find a racing game of any kind for under the $10 mark. But remember dear reader, you get what you pay for with this title.

Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing simply isn't as fun, or as polished, as it strives to be. There was cetainly potential here, but it's not realized due to mechanical issues that make playing the game a slog.

Grand Prix Rock 'N Racing is dull. It’s boring. Bad AI mixed with awful physics and a progression system that causes the game to be infuriating from the get-go, Rock 'N Racing is one of the worst racers I’ve played on the Xbox One.

With several upgrades applied to your car, Grand Prix Rock ‘N Racing can become bearable to play – but that’s just it; bearable. And for it to reach that “bearable” point, you’ve got to put in far more time than your wits can probably handle, so it’s just not worth it. Had the control scheme matched the casual arcade nature of the game it may have been slightly more enjoyable, but as it stands, there’s nothing to gain from playing Grand Prix Rock ‘N Racing.

Grand Prix Rock N Racing is an interesting proposition, but it tries every possible way to make you fail and you can tell that most of the time, it isn't doing it on purpose. Poor handling, archaic AI, no online play and a distinct lack of depth even in the game's Championship mode means that this is one that got stuck on the grid.
