Zombie Army 4: Dead War manages to avoid becoming stale by embracing its ridiculousness and maintaining a satisfying gameplay loop, despite some flaws in controls and design choices.

In the end, Red Bow on Xbox One is a game worth supporting. It’s a carefully crafted throwback with excellent writing and plenty of achievements to earn. It’s very well priced and is certainly worth the two hours it takes to play.

Red Bow features an engaging story set in a creepy 16-bit world. The puzzles are fun without being frustrating. You’ll want to see it all; unfortunately it’s over rather quickly.

Red Bow proves to be more of an incoherent dream than a lucid one. The cryptic puzzles and lack of focus manage to sully the overall presentation, making it a tough playthrough for even the most diehard of horror fans. Featuring a surreal world of monsters and nightmares, GrabTheGames and Stranga’s new title Red Bow transports players to a place where things aren’t what they seem.

Red Bow will lure gamers in with its pixel-art visuals and promise of a top-down, creepy adventure. Whilst it may impress for a short while, it will ultimately leave them wishing the game had been much more than it is.

Overall, the title is ridiculously restricted, and while there are different endings encouraging multiple playthroughs, you’ll have seen all that it has to offer in hours. The sprites are chunky and the environments pleasant, and there’s some earworm audio to add to the overall presentation, but you’re unlikely to find yourself dreaming of this once you’ve seen the credits roll a couple of times.
