CRITIK
As Lt. Mike Powell, member of the famed 1st Ranger Battalion, you'll battle through over 20 levels based on historical military campaigns of World War II. Fire period weapons and command authentic war vehicles as you silence the gun batteries at Port Arzew, survive the Omaha Beach landing, and more. Breakthrough is the second expansion pack for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, this time developed by TKO Software where the player takes the role of Sgt. John Baker of the US 34th Infantry Division. This campaign covers the Battle of Kasserine Pass, the turning point of the North African campaign, the fall of Bizerte and the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943, followed by the amphibious landings and defense of the beachhead at Anzio in 1944. Breakthrough adds Italian weapons for single player and multiplayer as well as the British and Soviet weapons from Spearhead. Also, additional British weapons are included, to complete the British arsenal.

There really isn't much to Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough that you haven't already seen before, and it's definitely not a product that will make people go out and buy Medal of Honor Allied Assault if they haven't already.

You're not going to get the butterflies in your stomach the way you did the first time you stormed the beach at Normandy, but the visceral gameplay and scripted events make you feel like you're never too far from the troop transport.
