Despite having spent plenty of time in Littlewood (yes, I kept the default name for my town), I still often find myself wondering when the other shoe is going to drop. When will I be thrust back into a life of combat to defend the town and community that I have spent hours upon hours rebuilding? There’s been nothing to indicate that that is going to happen, and I hope nothing ever will. I have every intention of continuing my journey in Littlewood for a long time - whether that comes in the form of extended hour-long playthroughs or five to ten minutes at a time. Score: 5/5 A Nintendo Switch copy of Littlewood was provided to TheGamer for this review.

There is no shortage of things to do while playing Littlewood. The game offers an adorable, heart-warming story and streamlined gameplay, making town management and exploration a rewarding adventure for players. Littlewood is a great pick for fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Stardew Valley, combining the elements of both games together for a single, immersive simulation style experience. Thanks to a well thought-out design and engaging content, players won't be bored as they explore the exciting world of Solemn in Littlewood, and its Nintendo Switch port is every bit the charming experience its PC version delivered prior. Next: Will Animal Crossing Have Any NEW Events In 2021 Littlewood is available now on the PC and Nintendo Switch.

I am looking forward to spending many seasons in my own village of Littlewood. The ease of play and streamlined mechanics make it a near-perfect fantasy world to escape into a hectic day. It is Stardew Valley without the stress of time; Animal Crossing: New Horizon, without the byzantine limits to work through; Ultima Online without the threat of being killed by, well, everything. Littlewood is worth a visit.

No matter what type of gamer you are, whether you live and breathe video games or pick up a mobile game every now and again, life simulations seem to appeal to just about everyone. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is certainly proof of this, people who don’t usually play games are desperate to find a Switch which have shot up in demand during the pandemic. They’re relaxing, and don’t require a lot of skill or concentration. They’re the type of games you can play in chunks whenever you choose, during a lunch break or in bed late at night. Games such as Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons, Stardew Valley and of course Animal Crossing are highly popular within the gaming community.
