Overview

Take control of Ramiro Cruz, a man on a crazy mission through Mexico's drug-fueled underworld. An amazing combat system keeps the action intense, mixing third person action with an incredible combo system for maximum carnage - and maximum replayability. Hilarious special moves and a huge amount of weaponry makes Total Overdose as frantic and fun an adventure as you could ever hope to find, and a red-hot latin soundtrack fits the action perfectly. This can be the perfect Latino gangsta sandbox game you were looking for all your life!

Total Overdose doesn't do much that's new or innovative, but what it does drips with so much style that you can't stay away. I said Mercenaries was the kind of thing Jerry Bruckheimer would produce.

Total Overdose may be another unashamed clone, but its amusing Mexican underworld storyline and crazy acrobatic moves make it a load of irresistible fun. The "bullet time" effect is sometimes overused in games these days, but Total Overdose pulls it off with some good humour and over-the-top gunplay. With a few deft control-pad combinations, players can run up walls, perform cartwheels and execute impressive, slow-motion dodging moves, while shooting at enemies.
