Stereo Aereo is rather a fun rose-tinted game that takes a simple, tried and true gameplay style and combines it with catchy tunes that will have you nodding your head as you play along. If you have a bit of spare change burning money in your wallet, you can't say no to a little 80's indulgence.

Although not perfect and relatively short, Stereo Aereo is a lot of fun for a rhythm game that can provide incredible replay value if you aim at the platinum. If only the team at Ludus Games could fix that annoying glitch, it would be quite an enjoyable ride, especially at only $4.

Satisfying fun with a great soundtrack at its best, visual mess with a great soundtrack most of the rest of the time.

Stereo Aereo is a functional music game. While it has a very cool scoring method and control scheme, it’s ultimately plagued by unforgiving and frustrating gameplay plus a generic soundtrack. Play this one if you’re looking for a fun time-waster, but there are better titles to which you may rock out.

There are plenty of little issues that add up to turn a junk pile into a landfill. Predictable dodge patterns, no checkpoints, visual alignment that’s harmful to gameplay, no ambient sound effects, the list really does go on forever. Now with all of these harsh words being said, I should clarify that playing this game isn’t akin to t-bagging a beat trap, it’s not in the company of Tactical Tactics or Calvino Noir, but it is an underwhelming project that doesn’t fail in concept, but in execution.

Dying due to confusing design rarely makes for good times, and this soured me on Stereo Aereo pretty damned hard. It’s unfortunate because I genuinely dig the overall aesthetic, and I definitely enjoyed the soundtrack. Even the relatively meager storyline has its high points. However, when the difficulty kicks into high gear, it all bubbles down into an overly busy, confusing and imprecise mess that I can’t wrap my head around. Stereo Aereo really could have been an excellent indie rhythm title. It has a good core, and a unique art style, but the game's flaws outweigh everything else, unforgivably taking you out of rhythm rather than keeping you in it.
