A bouncy, physics-based roguelite with a cast of oddballs, procedural dungeons, and lots of loot. Like if Peggle played D&D in the basement.

Roundguard helped relieve my feelings of anxiety during this global pandemic and satiated my desire to play D&D. This game could be even more fun with a co-op element or game mode. Complete bouncing mayhem! More information about Roundguard can be found on the official website.

Sure, you'll spend some time watching in hope and fascination as your hero goes bouncing around the board, but you'll actually have some control over what happens thanks to the character skills. As an added bonus, everything comes wrapped in fun cartoon graphics and a sense of humor. If you enjoy arcade puzzlers, you'll definitely want to take Roundguard for a spin.

I honestly expected Roundguard to be a simple Peggle re-skin, but came away very surprised that this wasn’t simply a 'shoot and wait' experience. On paper a roguelike dungeon crawling Peggle game shouldn’t really make sense or work, yet Roundguard has manages to give an exciting experience that is just as addictive as the game that the genre is best known for, and in some ways, surpasses it with its depth.

Considering Peggle hasn't seen the light of day in a long time, Roundguard now carries the torch while offering plenty of fun twists.Roundguard gameplay video → Similar game: Peggle 2 Separation Review PlayStation 4 ★★★☆☆ Putting on a VR headset then exploring a desolate puzzle-filled world is a fantastic way to escape reality so let's check out Separation. Separation is one of the simplest first-person VR puzzle adventure games that I've ever played as all you basically do is slowly walk around the game world while exploring and solving simple puzzles in order to guide a ray of light from a strange mechanical building via shining it through crystals.

Roundguard lays a new twist on dungeon crawler games; it’s a clever idea that has been executed very well by the developers and turned into an addictive and cohesive game that works. For those that are missing their puzzle/Peggle hit, Roundguard could fill that gap. While it’s not an overly long game, what it does supply is very enjoyable and fun gameplay.

Most rooms can be completed in a few minutes, which helps with time management, but it can also become addictive and turn into a longer session if you’re successful.

Part-roguelike, part-RPG, part Peggle, Roundguard is all fun. Its strategic-yet-unpredictable gameplay will keep you hooked, and with modifiers, randomised levels and even completely different classes making each run different, you won’t get bored easily.

Not only is it a hoot to play, Roundguard looks great thanks to a bright and bold cartoon art style. And despite its similarities to Peggle, it feels entirely original thanks to the clever blend of dungeon crawler mechanics thrown into the mix.
