CRITIK
N++ is a fast-paced, action-packed platformer set in the distant future. You play as a ninja, darting through obstacles, narrowly evading a slew of inadvertently homicidal enemy robots and collecting gold in a minimalist, sci-fi world. N++ is all about smooth physics, deftly controlling the speed and inertia of the character, and the awesome feeling of fluidly moving through each level.

Everything considered, N++ is an absolute gem. Anyone who wants a platformer should buy this game. It might be preferable for some to have it on PC, but that’s really up to consumer preference and this is one of those games that you can pick up, play for a few levels, and begrudgingly put down again as you go about your day.

N++ just feels right. You will never enjoy dying in a game as much as you will here, and will feel such a great sense of accomplishment with each room that you clear.

A must-have for any platforming fan. Nearly everything is perfect in this game. If the soundtrack was a bit more memorable and the game didn’t stutter when a new song played, I’d give the game a 10 without question. But unfortunately, I can’t look past all the deaths this glitch caused me or how bored I was by the new list of songs.

N++ is the new co-op game of choice in our house. And, if you like crazy, physics-based platform action and a decent challenge, it’ll likely find similar favor in yours. Even just played solo, N++ offers so much content and replayability — and is so obviously a labor of love — that it’ll stay on your PS4 home-screen for months to come. Score: 93/100 N++ is out now digitally for PlayStation 4.
