If you’re after some classic multiplayer action that ignores the need for an online connection and welcomes the incredible fun that used to be at the centre of every multiplayer game, then Jump Gunners is a game you need to add to your collection. With replayability, an incredible A.I.

Jump Gunners is a good title for short bursts with friends in a party situation, but there’s little reason to revisit the game months down the line. It suffers from a lack of personality in its visuals, but at least there’s a good range of things to do.

Jump Gunners has a great premise, but the game could have used some more time in the oven. Those going solo may be somewhat disappointed at the lack of modes and bots available, but partygoers will love throwing down locally. NerdRage Studios gives games the chance to fire at will and blow stuff up with their retro throwback Jump Gunners.

Jump Gunners has a strong main concept, but the game does so poorly at highlighting it that it merely feels like optional bells and whistles. That leaves us with a basic core of a competitive sidescrolling shooter, and while it works, it doesn’t have a high level of polish. It’s a mediocre party game you’ve seen a million times before; while it has enough mayhem to be fun with a few friends, it’s not going to leave a lasting impression on anyone.
