This sense of discovery is enhanced dramatically via a graph system, too, a means by which you are scored on the total number of blocks you’ve used, the footprint or size of the factory itself and the number of cycles you have to run through to create ten of your required object. You’ll even be compared to any friends that might’ve played that stage, too, urging you into a long-term game of oneupmanship.

Infinifactory is one of the best puzzle games that I've played in recent years. Anyone who's even slightly intrigued by its unique premise should definitely pick it up as it'll surely impress.

Infinifactory's rich and thick appeal is in the nuts and screws of the manual labour. You may not enjoy many worker's rights here, in the employ of this sour-faced alien management team, but the job satisfaction? It's unrivalled.

Infinifactory certainly has the building blocks of something great, as it's uber-satisfying piecing together your own production line and watching it all work as intended. Sadly, while there's real satisfaction to be gleaned from craftily concocting your own creative solutions, the cumbersome controls and occasionally unintelligible explanations mean that this game has ultimately failed to pass our rigorous quality assurance test.

It stands as a puzzle game that challenges you to K’Nex together your own brand of productivity while listening to wonderful audible treats. The aspects of fun and intrigue, unfortunately, don’t seem to come with this particular playset.
