CRITIK
While on duty you’ll need to remain ever vigilant and question any suspicious behaviour to protect your small American town from a rising criminal threat. Off duty you’ll need to visit friends, family and live life to its fullest. Your actions while at work and home affect your stress levels. If you spend too much time fighting crime, you will be under severe pressure that will affect your ability to uphold the law. You’ll need to question witnesses, administer breathalyser tests, block off roads for city events, site mobile speed cameras and pursue fleeing criminals on foot and in one of the specially designed police vehicles.

It’s just a buggy mess with some potential hidden away amongst the basic visuals and sparse structure. If you really want a police simulator then the Liberty City Police Mod for GTA IV offers a far superior experience. TOP GAME MOMENT Putting up a roadblock and getting flying cars.

I think the problem with Enforcer: Police Crime Action is that it seems to take itself seriously in a way that the gameplay just can’t support. Shift hours, stress, hunger, gasoline for the cruiser – these are all realistic concerns, but the game comes off as such a parody of itself that managing these is a near-impossible task. Maybe with an irreverent tone or lampoon-style story, there’d be something here, but as it stands, we end up with a game that’s trying to be something it isn’t, and it just flat-out doesn’t work.
