Fans of the series will do doubt lap up the new Campaigns and Turning Point missions, but it won't draw newcomers into the Empire Earth II experience.

The Art of Supremacy is best left to the most ardent of Empire Earth II fans.

It all just seems like a misguided mixture of various RTS games. There’s a dash of Age of Empires, a shake of Civilisation and a spoonful of Rise of Nations; there just isn’t enough there to make Empire Earth II: Art of Supremacy an original game in its own right. What Works + Great possibility of customisation + Good addition of weather effects + Three new campaigns adds more gameplay What Doesn't - Visuals aren’t amazing - Not original enough - Repetitive music - Simply not enough new material for an expansion Score 6.2 Under the Shrinkwrap If I was asked to give two words to describe this expansion pack, I certainly wouldn’t use Art or Supremacy.

In a final note, which may just be where my head is at the moment, but there's something really disturbing sexual about the battering ram's swinging animation.

The developers at Mad Doc Software balance every good feature in this expansion with something either uninspired or ill-advised. Take the four new civilizations and campaigns, for instance.

The result is a collection of good intentions and ideas that sound great in theory, but play poorly. Of the four new factions, only the two African ones feel unique, and even that quality diminishes as the epochs pass.
