Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is a niche-market game. Yet, it can be phenomenal with the right group of friends. I loved the range of questions, the competitive edge, and the custom avatars. Yet, I know it won’t be for everyone, but I liked it nevertheless. A

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader is a fun little trivia romp that faithfully adapts the spirit of the original game show. There is a lot to really love about this game, especially the variety and difficulty of the questions, which can pose challenges for players of all ages. The collectibles add another layer to Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader and offer a tangible goal while adding significant replay value. With a few tweaks to the presentation, like tightening the long pauses between segments, the experience could feel far less stilted. If the somewhat dated concept and graphics aren't too off-putting, fans of the show should definitely pick up Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader for the nostalgia factor, and fans of the trivia genre in general should consider adding it to their collection for a new and exciting challenge to face alone or with friends. Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? releases August 23, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? has a charm to it and can be fun with friends locally but is a bit of slog at times too. The game’s presentation factor gets in the way too often which can cause these shows to go on longer than they should. Playing solo is an option but will likely get repetitive pretty fast for those who choose to do so. If you have some local friends and family to play with then there is a good amount of questions on hand to provide some trivia fun but there are also better alternatives you can choose from should you want. *Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is the wrong question. Are You As Patient as a 5th Grader? is the more appropriate. You will need patience of steel to last eleven rounds with this slimline quizzer.

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? is a middle-of-the-road trivia game that's so full of padding that it becomes boring fast. I can only recommend it to kids but even then, I doubt that many youngsters will have the patience to sit through a whole game.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? feels like your bog standard Wii shovelware title released fifteen years too late. For as much as I enjoy the fact developers are still making games with local multiplayer shenanigans in mind, there is very little in this title that makes me want to consider it over Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, or other party games in general. Something inside of me makes me somewhat glad that a little part of the good, old, licensed-centric THQ is still alive, but this is easily one of the company’s weakest outings in recent years.

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? is a fine albeit one note quiz show game that won’t necessarily please the fans of the franchise. That said, it may be welcomed by casual players that want to play a party game with friends/family.
