Its approach and delivery of its storytelling feel fresh and unique. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of my all time favourite movies and this is the video game equivalent of that Charlie Kaufman masterpiece.

Working through trauma both past and present, this is an emotional journey with unexpected twists and turns No matter how steady a life you may generally lead, almost anyone should be able to relate to pivotal events in your past, whether long ago or more recent, that have profound effects.

With it’s blend of serious, yet indie/hipster graphics and presentation, The Wreck’s polished writing and powerful message of ‘letting others know they’re loved’ is something that Telltale or visual novel fans should enjoy. While the on-rails gameplay is about as basic as it gets, this 5-hour drama has just enough staying power and replayability in it’s dialogue options to justify another go around or two. By Anthony Culinas – Reviewed on PC Good The Wreck is worth checking out for those who enjoy visual novels or the Telltale style of approach to storytelling.
