The wait to get the game fully stable is worth it, since this expansion is looking likely to shoot straight to the top of all the best expansions ranked lists. Snowy Escape offers more depth than pretty much any Sims 4 expansion I've ever played, and that's not just the snow. A PC copy of The Sims 4: Snowy Escape was provided to TheGamer for this review.

Mt. Komorebi is a wonderful world that we cannot get enough of. Backed by a generous number of activities and features that come together in a satisfying way, it's a place that we're sure we will return to time and time again. Snowy Escape is a stellar expansion, and arguably the best since Seasons. Version reviewed: PC Release date: Out today (November 13) on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Developer: Maxis Publisher: Electronic Arts Digital Spy has launched its first-ever digital magazine with exclusive features, interviews, and videos.

The Sims 4 Snowy Escape introduces new gameplay elements, a world that’s filled with wonder and – most importantly – there’s a million and one things to do within it. With its added focus on mindfulness and relaxing activities for your Sims, plus the addition of snow sports, The Sims 4 Snowy Escape is about as perfect as an Expansion Pack can get. A must-buy for Sims players, or the perfect starter pack for base game-owners, you can’t go wrong with Snowy Escape. This copy of The Sims 4 Snowy Escape was provided by EA for review.

The Sims has always been one of the best forms of escapism in video games and right now, a lot of people could really do with a fun, overseas holiday to a winter wonderland. Turns out I am one of those people and for this reason, The Sims 4: Snowy Escape has been an absolute treat. The Japanese-themed clothing, furniture items and building materials are sensational and feel refreshingly unique among the standard array of other items available in similar packs. I would have liked to see a few more plots of land to build upon in the Mount Komorebi world, but this is a small criticism of an otherwise excellent Sims 4 expansion pack. D

While the new traits and aspirations still read like a tutorial for the expansion, it’s clear that a lot of thought and effort went into the conception of Snowy Escape. The Sims needed to come back stronger than ever after its last controversy, and Snowy Escape did just that and more. Players’ enchantment with Mt. Komorebi is sure to stick around like the snow on the mountaintop thanks to the endless possibilities the world provides. The Sims 4: Snowy Escape is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
