CRITIK
The Office Quest is a casual point & click adventure game for those who cannot stay in the office any longer, full of visual humor, puzzles, riddles, and earnest adults wearing fluffy onesies because why not. You have a boring job, clicking the same key on the same keyboard at the same desk every day of every week. Then one day something strange and magical happens, and you really, really need to discover what's going on – and for that, you need to slip away of your post and leave the grey abyss they call the office…

It’s fair to say that The Office Quest on Xbox One ticks almost every single box for what makes point and click adventures great. There are a ton of fun mini-games, an array of inventory-based puzzles, and a load of quirky characters to fill in the gaps between the two. The experience may only last a couple of hours, but there’ll be plenty of laughs and success-related joy to be found for sure – as well as a fairly straightforward 1000 Gamerscore.

Office Quest is a fun, light-hearted little romp rich in style. Great aesthetic, entertaining animations, and challenging puzzles make this title stand out, even if some puzzles are more vexing than others, and I didn't feel that the platforming mini-games fit into the overall game. It's a great little game, regardless of if you play it on PC or your mobile device of choice.

The Office Quest is infuriating as it never lives up to its potential. The groundwork is here for a solid adventure, but the game never reaches top speed. Certain aspects of mobile game design are holding it back. The main offender is how streamlined the experience is, leaving little room for exploration and secrets. That may be okay for a mobile game which you play sparingly.
