This doesn't feel like a knock-off Lord of the Rings game, rather it comes off as a true labor of love from designers that have a very good understanding of the material from which they are working and the finished product is much better because of it. Electronic Arts has crafted one of the best real-time strategy games around and the fact that it has paid so much attention to detail of the Tolkien Lore just adds delicious icing to what is already a finely made piece of cake.
