Overall, The Living Dungeon is a very enjoyable but frustrating experience at times. The environment and voice acting could be presented better, as well as the storytelling. However, Radiation Burn have provided an enjoyable experience, with a much more enjoyable multiplayer which will only improve once online matches are made available.

This game makes me wish my friends lived more locally so I could have them round every week to play a few matches of Living Dungeon with beer or two. As much as the local multiplayer is to be praised, however, the lack of an online play is a blow.

There is no doubt whatsoever that The Living Dungeon should have spent longer in the oven than the time that was afforded to it. Nevertheless, despite the fact that it feels like an Early Access title attempting to punch above its weight, The Living Dungeon still manages to provide numerous, if somewhat unambitious thrills in its hassle-free multiplayer skirmishes.

A slightly less than average game, where you can potentially have an average amount of fun, and feel an average amount of anger at the masochism involved in your 6th death on the same level. But without any form of connection to, or caring about, the characters, this game just becomes a “could have been”. REVIEW CODE: A complimentary Microsoft Xbox One code was provided to Brash Games for this review.

For the times your friends can't make it, the single player campaign offers a frustrating distraction. But the poor AI, unlikeable characters, and levels that take seemingly forever to complete due to unlucky dice rolls make The Living Dungeon only for those with active social lives.
