Overview

Forget everything you know about backstreet surgery. The moment you have been waiting for your whole life is here! Surgeon Simulator: Experience Reality is taking the ER to VR, where you can perform all of Bob’s favourite procedures with your OWN TWO HANDS in brand new surgery environments designed from the ground up for VR! If you’ve ever actually wanted to know what it feels like to delicately remove teeth from a patient using nothing but a subtle claw hammer, or perform a touch of eye surgery in Zero-G, now is your chance (without all the added hassle of flashing blue lights, plane tickets, rushed flights and Interpol). Featuring all of the surgeries and twisted humour of the original favourite, this is one surgical experience you will never want to forget! Be transported into some of the most unlikely and possibly unsanitary surgeries possible with a totally new control system – you can no longer blame the keyboard or gamepad this time – this is on YOU, Dr Burke. Remember, no matter what happens and how things work out – Bob loves you!

Surgeon Simulator ER completes the requests by many VR folks for the original game to be played this way. It doesn’t present too much new in terms of gameplay or graphics. If you didn’t enjoy the original game, you’ll probably pass on this one as well. Surgeon Simulator isn’t for everyone and doesn’t have the mass appeal as say Job Simulator, but for those that found some fun and charm in the original game, Surgeon Simulator ER can give you a new way to play and some more enjoyment out if it. It's the same game, but in VR.

It’s largely the same hilarious, gory surgery sim you know and love, but its mechanics don't translate well to VR.

Unfortunately, if you are stone cold sober and trying to channel your inner Doogie Howser, this lack of any tangible precision will prove to be an instant turn-off. Additionally, the lack of any sort of tutorial, or even logically designed menus only act to further highlight the game’s lack of polish.
