Overall this was a very good modern take on classic games and something that I thoroughly enjoyed having played the physical card games as a youngster. It had the perfect balance between rewarding those who worked harder to improve but not leaving too much of a gap between those experience players and the newcomers who were being introduced into the game.

A perfectly functioning card game. Add two points to the score if you appreciate the majesty of the genre. For you, an 8.5/10.

Surprisingly, the game’s greatest strength may be its free-to-play model. Winning or losing gives you a reasonable amount of in-game currency (although at the time of this review, a bug was increasing the amount received) as well as fame, which gives you rewards at regular intervals.

At the end of the day, though, it doesn’t know its audience — and games that don’t understand who they’re for typically fail to capture anyone.
