Shredders does everything in its power to make you feel cool, it pays homage to the glorious sport of snowboarding and does wonders to try and welcome newcomers as well. Most of the time you truly feel like a pro snowboarder and it has just enough of a difficulty curve to make things challenging. All said Shredders is able to deliver a wonderful time, despite its shortcomings, and it can definitely be seen as snowboarding’s answer to Skate.

I’m not an avid snowboarder by any means, but I’ve found Shredders to be a delight, a quick and rewarding, pick-up-and-play title that I can jump into for some quick runs after bashing my head against Elden Ring for far too long. It’s full of fun, humour and generally a delight to play. Shredders is available now on Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

This passion project of theirs delivers the benchmark for how a snowboarding title should feel in the hands of the player. Their love for this sport shines through in what they have achieved here and I really look forward to what the team have up their sleeve for the future.

Shredders is not as challenging as I was expecting, and whilst this limits its overall longevity, it's accessible, laid back and fun to play.
