Reventure
Reventure could be described as a "choose your own adventure" book in the shape of a 2D platformer. It starts out from the classic monomyth premise: "You are a hero, the princess is in danger, go rescue her!" but it quickly gets more complicated than that - until it completely diverges into something completely non-standard.

Reventure plays like a puzzle adventure game that excels at the puzzle aspect and providing a feeling of completion, with very fun gameplay having me doing the dumbest things trying to get an ending. However, it falls short on its story.

Reventure is a creative take on the adventure-platforming genre. It pokes fun at classic Zelda-isms while providing an enjoyable way to forge your own path by finding all 100 endings to the game. Reventure is a completionist’s dream. Those who thrive on finding every little secret and experimenting with all the possibilities a game offers will fall in love. Players looking for a clear, singular objective or a greater amount of complexity may not enjoy what it brings to the table. Its unique approach to endings, storytelling, and world-building make Reventure one of the freshest experiences in recent memory, and for my money it’s a plunge that’s worth taking.

As a connoisseur of platformers, I knew I was going to like Reventure. What I didn’t know, was that I would constantly be thinking about it. All I want to do is continue my quest, and find all 100 endings. More information on Reventure can be found on the official website.

Reventure is quite possibly the funniest game that I've played all year and there's some highly enjoyable gameplay here, too.Reventure gameplay video → Fight'N Rage Review Xbox One ★★★☆☆ Beat 'em ups are making a bit of a resurgence and here's one that simplifies the classic formula in interesting ways. I saw a lot of people hyped for Fight'N Rage and a few folks have recommended it to me so I decided to check it out for myself.
