CRITIK
In this non-shooting shoot 'em up, you are a single white pixel who can absorb the bodies, abilities, and weapons of every enemy pixel you collect. It's up to you to stay either a small and nimble ship, or turn large and powerful. Just remember: protect your core white pixel, because every mistake could be your last.

I have no problem saying that I loved playing Pixel Galaxy. I still haven’t finished all the difficulties and I find the whole thing extremely frustrating, but I fully endorse the experience. If you like 2D space style shooters, there’s no excuse not to buy this game.

There’s a lot to like in Pixel Galaxy, and a really great game buried under its layers of difficulty.

I can’t help but feel this game would be better off in arcade form, with a properly greased joystick adding a more tactile experience than a gamepad or keyboard.

The lack of meaningful content holds the game back, which is a shame because the idea itself creates a foundation for something more. I still had fun forming ships out of enemies and the boss fights in particular provided a welcome challenge, but that only remains fun for so long.
