So overall, while I personally would have enjoyed a brand new Neptunia title for the launch of the Goddess shenanigans on the PlayStation 5, Neptunia: ReVerse is a good place to start for those that would actually have no idea of the series. What better way to start off than the beginning? For returning fans though, I would say that if you’ve been wanting to return back to the beginning as it’s been several years Neptunia: ReVerse is worth it especially on a much larger screen and some added bonuses to get the adventure started off faster with some help from the other Neptunia-verse Goddess.

Neptunia ReVerse is a wonderful iteration of a lovely RPG classic that both fans and newcomers can enjoy. With oodles of content, a nifty new mode, and even a fishing mini-game; it's hard not to have a blast while playing through Neptunia's debut adventure on PS5.

Neptunia ReVerse wears that 10th anniversary badge as a part of its feature list, rather than a decoration. You’ll get the most out of this game as a returning player who can remember what it was like to move from the PS3 original to the Vita/PC update. As a newcomer you might feel a bit overwhelmed, although as the definitive edition there’s plenty of reason to start here anyway. This is obviously a game that appeals to the anime crowd, and won’t have a lot of mileage outside of that.

For newcomers to the series, Neptunia ReVerse isn't a bad starting point. The story is breezy and the overall gameplay is good, even if you have to deal with uneven difficulty. For veterans, the new fishing minigame is cute, but Arrange mode throws off the balance and isn't much of an incentive to return to the game. Overall, it isn't a bad PS5-exclusive RPG, but you might want to wait for the team to develop something new for the platform.
