Overview

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth title in the Harry Potter franchise. It has a unique feel and gameplay with elements not present in any other game of the franchise, including a camera of a 3D environment that is not player-controlled and a system in which previous levels can be played again at will. Due to higher-quality graphics in comparison to previous Harry Potter video games, characters more closely resemble their movie counterparts. It was also the first Harry Potter game to feature a multiplayer mode.

The game changes a few of the things Harry fans have come to expect from the games, and though aimed at a younger audience, Harry fans will find a lot to like in the game. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and friends have entered their third year at Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft.

Controlling with a gamepad is so much easier to move and aim spells. I would go as far as saying that it is a must. I cannot understand why the developers did not go with a mouse option because the game could have been so much more immersive even from a third-person perspective. Graphics: 7.5 The graphics were decent at best.

A solid action game, however for the discerning gamer it's not something that really stands up next to it's film and book namesakes. Did you like Gauntlet? I mean, did you really like Gauntlet? Seriously, I mean all of them, even the ones with the lame jester character and warriors that throw endless amounts of axes? Okay, then you are prepared for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
