Green Hell ticks every box, offering an incredibly captivating and addictive gameplay style in both story mode and survival and challenge modes. As a story, the game beckons you to keep playing, to learn what happened to Mia, as Jake Higgins desperation translates to the player in even proportions. The ability to play with friends in multiplayer and attune your survival skills with varying degrees of difficulty with the inclusion active enemies, extend the playability of this game beyond a first pass play-through. With a positive, neutral and negative ending to the story, several play-throughs is possible with fresh perspectives each time. This is one of those rare games that presents a truly amazing story in such a fresh context.

To play any game that is both daunting and frustrating, yet encouraging and achieving is mind-boggling to me. I didn’t think I’d enjoy Green Hell, and to tell you the truth, I hate and love it. Hours and hours of gameplay in and I feel a rollercoaster of emotions. Allow me to explain. Green Hell is a survival sim that puts your psychological strength to the test, in a brutal open-world jungle inhabited with death and danger.

If you’re a fan of survival games, no matter if hardcore or casual, then Green Hell will surely provide you with a gaming experience like no other. Despite a few minor complaints, Green Hell is tense, gorgeous, immersive, and even terrifying at times. This game ticks all the right boxes for me, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of survival games. I absolutely loved playing through the story mode and unravelling its mystery, and I can’t wait for the Spirits of Amazonia expansion to be fully released, so that I can dive into that.

A tough game for tough guys. I’m not tough (well, I’m not even a guy), but I like it anyway. A new upgrade provides some additional content to current-gens. It’s OK, though at 60 FPS it would be even better. 4 Tough guy Four years since its release, GREEN HELL still remains a good-looking title with deep gameplay.

Green Hell is a hugely challenging, massively immersive game that will transplant you in the Amazonian jungles in both a good and a bad way. The level of immersion is such that, at times, I found myself itching in real life, checking my arms to make sure there weren’t ants or other bugs crawling on me.

Green Hell is an absolutely fantastic survival game. The way the jungle pulls you in with its beauty at the same time as punishing you for even the smallest of mistakes. Creepy Jar have done a great job making you both feel consumed by the jungle as well as adding the psychological strain of being stranded alone. The game makes no excuses for its learning curve, but it doesn’t need to because of how great the overall experience is. In the famous words of Axl Rose……… Welcome to the Jungle!Become a Patron!
