Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery is the perfect game to unwind with thanks to its amazing writing, charm, and great soundtrack. It isn’t too long though so keep that in mind. It absolutely is worth the asking price on Switch, and I hope it does eventually either get touch support or an iPad version. It was released in a very busy period, but I feel like Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery is exactly what I needed with so many long games taking up my time. -Mikhail Madnani SwitchArcade Score: 4.5/5 Salt and Sacrifice ($19.99) The problem with releasing a follow-up to a successful and acclaimed indie game, is that a lot of folks aren’t fans of change.

This was such an unexpected treat. I adore reading in games, even though that feels counterintuitive to the point of video games. Being swept up in visual novels is a passion of mine, so I love when I can get that safe effect elsewhere. Frog Detective is such a silly and genuinely funny read from start to finish that I didn’t even mind that it was in the first person perspective. It’s like Inspector Clouseau and Detective Drebin taught a frog everything they knew and sent him off into the world. There’s so much charm in simple exchanges that I could easily go back and pick these titles up again.

The Frog Detective games are arguably essential playing for anyone who's ever enjoyed an old-school adventure game or wants to know what kind of wholesome and hilarious shenanigans Aussie developers are capable of, and The Entire Mystery means that console players can finally get around it. The added bonus of a Tony Hawk-esque minigames adds the perfect little sweetener to an already-scrumptious treat of a series.

It’s a brisk, enjoyable package, ideal for a lazy, rainy Sunday afternoon when you want to put your feet up and, every now and again, raise a smile.

Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery is an entertaining way to spend three or four hours. The cases are sublimely ridiculous, the characters surprisingly well-rounded, despite having so little dialogue, and the gameplay is extremely simple.

Do we wish there was a bit more puzzling involved in Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery? Perhaps. But this isn’t a game you play for exercising your brain. It’s purely about silly fun, enjoying a cast of curious characters and revelling in a series of cute little stories for a couple of hours. If you want something more serious, there are plenty of other games to offer you that. For now, simply forget the worries of the world and get lost in this beautifully bizarre little game.

While it has an undeniable sort of goofy charm with its characters and dialogue, the gameplay is mostly rudimentary I absolutely have a deep love and appreciation for indie games that simply lock into what they’re looking to do and then commit to it unapologetically, damn the consequences.
