This game is more than just trying to cater to nostalgia. It is one of my favorite games of the year, and if you do have $30 to spend, I assuredly recommend Disney Dreamlight Valley. Disney Dreamlight Valley was developed and published by Gameloftt.

Much more than a cash-in by a big company, Dreamlight Valley offers a massive world filled with wonder I can only imagine that given the staggering financial success of franchises like Animal Crossing and multiple farming sims out there, executives at Disney had to be beside themselves wondering why they weren’t in on that gig.

With a variety of new friends and new ways to interact with them, “A Rift in Time” provides more of what made Disney Dreamlight Valley enjoyable: fun quests, the chance to befriend beloved Disney characters, and the chance to test your design skills.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is delightful. The title is a brilliant life sim sandbox that already has a staggering amount of content, and has already begun outlining what comes next. If Gameloft plays its cards right, this game could be a mainstay on many people's consoles for years. Thousands of Disney-themed items and a robust construction mode pair with all the traditional life sim trappings executed at a high level to create a surprisingly excellent experience. Whether you want to completely redesign your town or just go fishing with Mickey, the game has everything in place to ensure you get the most out of your experience. A slew of camera bugs and the odd crash stand out as early access hiccups, and the framework for an extensive microtransaction economy is a red flag, but this isn't enough to stand in the way of having a lovely time.

Whether it’s nostalgia or simply the fact that you want another life-sim to immerse yourself in, Disney Dreamlight Valley is the ideal title that you should check out to fulfill those desires. The game might be in its early stages, but there is enough here to scratch the itch of grinding and growing your own home and lifestyle within this fascinating world There are tons of activities that will overwhelm you during the beginning hours of the game, but as basic as they may be, the game will find many ways to add a layer of charm to them.
