The game is easy to play but tough to master. Are you one of those gamers that can hit the top spots of the leaderboards? Then you’ll get the most out of this bonus release! I had a lot of fun doing this Dead Island: Retro Revenge since as far as bonus games go, this one is a great extra to the awesome Dead Island: Definitive Collection.

Dead Island: Retro Revenge is a short but good game that is fun if you give it a chance. Though the endless runner format can be limiting, the different strategies and the ability to mix up combos and attacks makes this a more skillful brawler.

Dead Island: Retro Revenge won't set the world on fire, but it's a very solid and enjoyable, endless runner-style game. It's challenging, action-packed and filled to the brim with blood and guts, while also featuring an immersive score attack system.

It’s got a great retro vibe and the aesthetic is beautiful. Sadly, the runner mechanics take away the fun and goodwill, leaving it as forgettable as the Dead Island franchise itself.

The concept is reasonably well-executed, but this isn’t the kind of experience that gives you a lot to sink your teeth into. Still, as a bonus thrown in with another game and made available as a super-cheap download, it is easily worth its asking price.
