A tough nut to crack, but this game has great potential and some serious rewards for persistence. Play with a keyboard at hand for a more enjoyable experience. 4.4 Challenging This is absolutely an interesting one.

It is easy to look back on your youth with rose-tinted glasses, but what makes it so fascinating is the fact we can’t relive the past. Commander ‘85 on Xbox One is so caught up on this that it fails to see the flaws in front of it. Whilst the idea is certainly worth exploring, Commander ‘85 itself is probably not.

Commander '85 attempts to ride the wave of '80s nostalgia, but there are far more elements that play into success than the atmosphere. For those who would enjoy taking a crack at a frustratingly difficult hacking simulator backed by a rehashed storyline, Commander '85 might be for them. But for the average gamer, nostalgia isn't enough to make Commander '85 anything more than ok. Next: Kirby Fighters 2 Review: A Smashing Good Time Commander '85 will be available on PC on September 30.
