CRITIK
Call of Duty: Black Ops is the seventh main Call of Duty game and the sequel to Call of Duty: World at War. The game differs from most previous installments, which would involve a usual three-country campaign, while Call of Duty: Black Ops features two playable countries (Russia and the USA) but only has an American campaign. Several new features are also introduced, such as dive-to-prone and the available use of a flashlight on certain weapons. Furthermore, the campaign's playable characters now speak while being controlled by the player.

Call of Duty: Black Ops bears the series' standard superbly, delivering an engrossing campaign and exciting competitive multiplayer. The Good - Thrilling variety throughout campaign - Fractured story creates an intriguing atmosphere - New multiplayer currency system is invigorating - Combat training lets anyone enjoy multiplayer excitement - Theater lets you share and enjoy triumphs and failures. The Bad - Short campaign. When a franchise consistently delivers massively popular, high-quality games, each new entry in the series comes laden with expectation.

What we have here is a refined and extremely confident product from a studio that has found its feet in the FPS world. This sequel captures everything that makes the series great, and apart from the odd mishap, is engrossing throughout.
