CRITIK
Braveland is a turn-based adventure game inspired by old-school turn-based games such as King’s Bounty and Heroes of Might & Magic. In Braveland, you start as a humble warrior's son whose village was cruelly raided - and work your way to becoming the commander of a powerful army. Hand-crafted art complements a wonderful fantasy-based story where your young hero recruits allies to aid in the cause while learning spells and battling bosses on his way to becoming the ultimate protector of the land.

Overall, the Braveland Trilogy is very middling as far as quality is concerned. Each game is not bad by any stretch of the imagination, just not compelling. For fans of the genre, each game can serve as an okay distraction while on the go, where each adventure ranges from three to five hours of total playtime. There is also the option to duel with friends, but unfortunately I was unable to test this feature out. However, for $14.99, it’s perhaps wise to wait for it to go on sale before purchasing. Best of luck to Tortuga Team in any future endeavors, as they can easily improve on what is established here.

Even though there is a lot of content in Braveland Trilogy, it's still a very simplistic take on SRPGs that doesn't offer anything new.Braveland Trilogy gameplay video → Spaceland Review Crimson Keep Review PlayStation 4 ★☆☆☆☆ Fans of first-person dungeon crawlers may have their interest piqued by Crimson Keep but is it any good? Crimson Keep seems like a fantastic game on paper: a first-person roguelike dungeon crawler that plays like an FPS except with swords and magic instead of guns.

Braveland Trilogy on Xbox One attempts a great deal of things but many of them fall flat. Whilst the gameplay is tolerable, the art style, music, lack of originality and absence of variation make all three games a slog to make your way through. There is a decent amount of content in Braveland Trilogy, but not much is worth playing after the first hour or so.

My time with Braveland Trilogy was enjoyable however it still felt like there could have been a lot more done to add variety to the games. At the asking price of $14.99, it feels like a lot to spend on a so-so title, even if it breaks down to about $5.00 a game. It wasn’t a terrible experience but when Braveland had something going for it, not enough focus seemed to be placed into it. Review: Braveland Trilogy (Nintendo Switch) Okay My time with Braveland Trilogy was enjoyable however it still felt like there could have been a lot more done to add variety to the games.

Braveland Trilogy's quirks don't save it from being another forgettable RPG. More: Bannermen Review: This RTS Doesn't Stand Out Braveland Trilogy is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
